The experience that Ryan Baxter brings to his practice is highly unique among bankruptcy lawyers.  He has worked for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy trustee, represented creditors in bankruptcy including several major national banks and has represented debtors while working for one of the top bankruptcy law firms in the state of Utah.  With this background, Attorney Baxter has been involved in all facets of a consumer bankruptcy practice.  This special experience and background enables him to provide unmatched representation for his clients.  He is a member of the Utah Bankruptcy Lawyer’s Forum.


Attorney Baxter sits on the Ad Hoc Legislative Committee for the Elder Law and Estate Planning sections of the Utah Bar, the Salt Lake Estate Planning Council and the Wasatch Front American Inn of Transactional Counsel.  The Ad Hoc Legislative Committee works with the Utah State Legislature in reviewing and amending the Utah Probate Code.  The Salt Lake Estate Planning Council is a select group estate planning professionals comprised of attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Certified Financial Planners, Chartered Financial Consultants, chartered life underwriters, trust officers, and various other specialists who are heavily involved in the estate planning process. All of these professionals pool their knowledge and technical expertise for the advancement of informed estate planning.  Finally, Attorney Baxter is a member of the Wasatch Front American Inn of Transactional Counsel–this selection of attorneys focuses on aspiring to best practices in estate planning.


Attorney Baxter serves as “of counsel” for one of the largest social security disability firms in the nation.  He regularly appears before the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR) concerning denied applications for both Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).  He is a member of the Social Security Section of the Utah Association for Justice.
